Makenzi Hogan

Born in Atlanta and raised in San Antonio, Makenzi made her way from Austin to 30A in 2020. Though, like many, South Walton has been a home base and beloved place for decades. Since 1999, if we’re counting… 

While at The University of Texas at Austin, Makenzi studied History, Psychology, Rhetoric & Writing and worked full-time as an early employee of a successful dating start-up. In 2017, Makenzi left the tech space to build a boutique marketing agency, specializing in white-glove branding and marketing services for scaling companies in the lifestyle, interior design, and publishing spaces. 

While she still consults with a few select clients, Makenzi has translated her experience and unique skill set to real estate. Since moving to 30A, she has renovated numerous investment properties, nurturing invaluable relationships with talented local tradespeople and developing proficiency around a job site. Makenzi has also developed a background in property management for longterm rental properties.

Makenzi and her soon-to-be-husband met at Rosemary Beach Racquet Club when they were 10 (or was it 11?). Today, they live in Point Washington with their two dogs, Wilson (Australian Labradoodle) and Gus (rescue Pitbull). Both Makenzi + Christian are involved in the community, and Makenzi proudly serves on the board of a local non-profit.
